The Introductory Integrated Asset Management Capacity Development Delivery consists of 2 training modules specifically designed for LGUs and PUCs:
Introductory IAM Training Module:
General Aspects of Integrated Asset Management (IAM): what is IAM, objectives and benefits of IAM, getting started in IAM planning and change in business culture
Legal Aspects of IAM: legal framework in managing the assets at the local governance unit (LGU) level, ownership on infrastructure assets (water and wastewater infrastructure), level of service (LoS), public service agreement (PSA) between LGUs and public utility companies (PUCs),
Institutional Aspects of IAM: organization of IAM at the level of LGUs and PUCs, roles and responsibilities in managing assets, IAM procedures at the level of LGUs and PUCs, asset registry and bookkeeping of assets, needs for revalorization of assets, IAM towards the tariff policy/structure, communication and coordination of IAM activities between LGUs and PUCs.
Designated IAM Training Module:
Technical Aspects of Integrated Asset Management: planning of IAM, managing the lifecycle of infrastructure assets, development of complete asset registry, asset maintenance procedures, asset lifetime and deterioration of assets including critical assets, asset rehabilitation, AM software in function of asset management, monitoring performance and improvement.
Financial Aspects of Integrated Asset Management: Inventory of the fixed assets, revalorization of assets, depreciation of assets, financial management of the assets, IAM and business planning, financing the communal services on full cost recovery principles, funding strategy and capital investment planning.
