Cooperation of RCDN with German Water Association (DWA) for better capacity development in waste water management

On 1st of July 2019 representatives of RCDN, Mr. Peter Wolf and Mr. Pavle Donev from GIZ and Mr. Sandi Zulic and Mrs. Aida Jusufhodzic from Aquasan Network in B&H participated at the meeting with the representatives of DWA Mr. Roland Knitschky and Mrs. Mona Lurvik representative of the EWA (European Water Association) in the premises of DWA in Hennef, Germany.

The directions for future co-operation have been discussed and agreed under the Regional Capacity Development Network (RCDN), including DWA\’s support in the development of wastewater collection and treatment training programs, and their best practices related to trainings for public utility companies and municipal employees, ministries, decision-makers and other interested sector stakeholders.

DWA is the leading association in Germany that has existed since 1948. The key activities of this association are related to the standards and rules for planning, construction, operation and maintenance of water supply and wastewater infrastructures, training of experts and workers in the water sector, research, networking, information provision and international cooperation. DWA in Germany and beyond is a symbol of a quality, systematic and professional approach and safety in all aspects of water infrastructure.
