On 18 and 19 March 2021, Aquasan Network in BiH organized a two-day seminar / training on RCDN CD product Integrated Asset Management. Participants were representatives of entity water agencies, heads of services of local government units (LGUs) in charge of communal activities, general and executive directors of public utility companies (PUCs) and presidents of commissions for inventory and identification of unregistered fixed assets from local governments.
More than 40 participants on the first day of the seminar / training had the opportunity to get acquainted with the institutional, legal, technical and economic-financial aspects of integrated asset management in order to better understand the basic principles and procedures of integrated asset management at the local government unit. The topics of the second day of the seminar / training focused on the technical and economic-financial aspect, and participants were presented in detail the basics of asset register, asset maintenance procedures, asset criticality and rehabilitation planning, revaluation process and financing strategy in integrated asset management. In addition to the above, the training highlighted a common approach to integrated asset management at the level of LGU through joint capacity development training of representatives of LGUs and PUCs.
The seminar / training was held for the first time in an online format and was a challenge, especially due to the large number of registered participants. However, with a combination of presentations, exercises and quality contributions from the participants, the seminar / training fully met expectations, which we could see through very positive feedback.
