The D-LeaP Committee Council convened at Hotel Kronwell in Brasov, to finalize and approve the D-LeaP Work Plan for 2024. The
meeting, featured representatives from different organizations such as the International Association of Water Supply Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area (IAWD), association members of IAWD and RCDN partners, the World Bank, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)
The primary agenda of the meeting was the presentation and ratification of the D-LeaP Work Plan for 2024. Additionally, the committee council reviewed and approved the D-LeaP Quality Management Framework, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of training delivery.
Highlight of the event was the introduction of a Best Practice Manual, designed to share successful strategies and methodologies among members.
The discussion focused on the annual plan for delivering D-LeaP programs. The emphasis was also placed on achieving synergy between RCDN and D-LeaP through the establishment of common quality standard templates for training delivery and the development of unified Training Manuals, supported by RCDN.
All presented documents were approved by the council during the meeting.
This meeting marks a significant milestone in the collaborative efforts to improve water management practices and promote sustainable development in the Danube region through the D-LeaP initiative. The event was part of the Danube Water Forum.
