RCDN+ Continues to Strengthen Local Training Capacities Through Generic ToTs

The Regional Capacity Development Network (RCDN+) continues its investment in building local training capacities to ensure high-quality delivery of capacity development services in the Western Balkans.

RCDN+ partners: UoMM (Union of Municipalities of Montenegro), UPKP (Association of Public Utility Companies in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina), and SHUKOS (Association of Water Supply and Sewerage Kosovo) successfully completed national Generic Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions. The trainings aimed to enhance trainers’ skills in adult learning methodologies, interactive facilitation techniques, and course delivery, ensuring that partner associations can independently provide effective capacity development services to their members.

Building on the Master ToT and Expanding Expertise

These Generic ToTs are part of RCDN’s broader effort to establish a sustainable national pool of trainers across the region. They build directly on the Master ToT held last year, where a selected group of trainers from partner associations were trained to deliver advanced trainings on national level. By cascading this knowledge to national levels, associations are expanding their in-house expertise and improving their capacity to respond to the training needs of utilities.

Next Steps: Second Master ToT in July

To further consolidate this regional network of trainers, RCDN will organize the second Master ToT in July 2025. This advanced training will focus on further strengthening the competencies of experienced trainers and supporting the continued rollout of the WW Programme across the Western Balkans.

By systematically investing in local trainers, RCDN is creating a sustainable mechanism for delivering high-quality, demand-driven capacity development services, ensuring long-term improvements in the water and wastewater sector in the Western Balkans.
